Unlike typical white flour products, Madeleine bakery offers a more traditional, nutrient-dense alternative. Our minimal processing yields the freshest flour which means more texture and taste in the final baked treats.

Wholesome baking doesn’t mean sacrificing taste. We believe that nutrition and flavour can go together. Like fresh-ground coffee, you have to taste it to experience the difference for yourself.
Because we are a small neighbourhood bakery, our daily selection changes frequently. You can however expect local favourites, such as our hearty oat scones, flourless chocolate cakes, mini-cakes and of course, our signature Madeleines in honey or chocolate flavours.
When you visit our bakery, you will experience the aromas and flavours of fresh grains being ground, mixed and baked into delicious treats, complete with tasting samples of daily specials at the counter. Serve up your favourite baked goodies with our locally sourced specialty teas, available in a variety of flavours.

Our philosophy is simple: start with freshly milled wholesome flour as the main ingredient, and complement the whole grain flavours with other natural ingredients.
We are proud of our offering to the local community: at Madeleine bakery, we actually pack the theory of 100% whole grain goodness into real treats!
Madeleine bakery’s small-scale production supports local suppliers, with organic grain sourced from Ontario farmers through Oak Manor Farms (a 30-year family business) as well as dairy, eggs and butter through Hewitt’s Dairy in nearby Hagersville.
We are just as committed about taste and nutrition as we are about our community. Madeleine works with and supports various community events and fundraisers.
